@latenightlinux in #linuxdevtime episode 142, they mark it as a day in the future to dread, when capitalism pushes the development of screws with an integrated single-use screwdriver. but we're already there. go buy a flatpack of an end table or something, i'll guarantee it comes with at least one allen wrench

i probably missed a metaphor somewhere

In #linuxdevtime 121 from @LateNightLinux @amolith stated something to the tune of "...maybe I've just not looked hard enough, but I have seen no evidence that querying AI once they have been trained, have any significant power costs". Well, my friend, open a terminal and get ollama running, use a quantized 7b model, open htop so you can view that simultaneously, and do something simple, and watch your computer working.
Hey @beasts you seem like cool people. Have you considered advertising on #LinuxDevTime ? Lots of developer-type people listening and plenty of UK folks.

Recorded a nice #LinuxDevTime last night about "unfashionable" languages.

What is your favourite unfashionable language?

What do you use it for?

#coding

Recorded an episode of #LinuxDevTime last night in which I may well have sounded like I was attacking cat videos.

I want to make absolutely clear that I understand that Cat Videos Are The Only Thing Holding The Internets Together at this point, and that I believe in their power and importance.

Hopefully it won't make the edit.

After listening to the latest #LinuxDevTime #Podcast yesterday, I got to thinking that most of my repos on #Github are private anyway, so why not move to a #Selfhosted solution instead?
So I just put together a #Debian #VPS at #Linode to host my owh #GitBucket instead.

Now to start moving data from Github.
