NATO embedded media highlights calls at "Russian ports" by affected vessels, but there are plenty that appear to have been on other trajectories.

Lots of potential explanations, from state actors hotting the trade war, neoliberal hardware neglect, piratic vandalism, or even insurance fraud to maintain profitability, which is threatened due to sanctions or logistic risk impediments like through Suez, Hormuz.

Anyone know more here? This feels like the tip of the iceberg (pun egregiously intended).
