Found my old Pentax in my parents' house. Guess I left it there 20 years ago when I thought I was done shooting film.
The deadhead sticker definitely ID's it as mine (it came that way!).
Anyway, mechanically it seems pretty good, but the light meter isn't working, even with a new battery.
This seems to be pretty common for older film cameras.
Any suggestions? I watched a YT video about how to open them up and work on them, and after that, I think I'd really rather not.
This seems to be a pretty common scenario: old film camera works *except* the light meter is dead. Any of you
#filmphotography fedis have any suggestions.
Like any tricks to get these things working *besides* a teardown? Or any places that fix this sort of thing for a reasonable amount of money (the camera seems to be worth $150, so a reasonable repair cost would be well under that).
