Valentine's Day in Japan?

No, I'm not going to write a cliché and trite post like you can find by the dozens online, what would be the point? I'm going to tell you how Valentine's Day takes place in my household in Japan. Step one Me, some date between March 15th and February 13th:

Oh, wait, it's setsubun today... Luckily my daughter is old enough and has lost interest in throwing things at me while I hide behind a mask. My son hasn't mentioned anything about tonight. Is this over? (It was very fun when they were little but it has felt more and more like a chore in recent years)

Twisted konnyaku is the best konnyaku. If only because you can actually grab it with chopsticks without turning the whole thing into an exercise of self-control and precision.
