In the end, I didn’t go as far as I hoped, but not a bad ride. Now I can feel better about avoiding the sun for the rest of this miserably hot weekend 🥵
It’s about to get a little technical…
I’m kicking off another early morning #LeveeRide. It’s been a while since I’ve made time for a longer ride, so let’s see how far I can go.
29 miles covered in just under 2 hours. Not a bad ride!
The wife is away for the evening, the grandparents have insisted on keeping the baby for several more hours… I guess it’s time for some #cycling

I’m currently racing a ship that is headed upriver along the levee and winning. I’m guessing that says more about the ships speed than mine but I’ll take it.

Here’s a nice view from today’s #LeveeRide of the Hale Boggs bridge in #StCharles Parish, LA.
The past three day’s worth of rides have been windy and cold, but I managed to hit a distance equivalent to 10% of the Appalachian Trail since I started tracking my walking and riding back in December with #TheDistance iOS app. It’s definitely been a good motivator when there’s less than ideal weather!
It’s a beautiful evening for some #outdoor activities. There’s only a little sunlight left in the day here so grab some while you still can!
