Happy #Hanukkah! Hanukkah begins at sundown today, and during those years when the holiday falls within the #BeerAdventCalendar dates, I like to select a #beer to commemorate it. In that vein, today’s beer comes from #LeikamBrewing of #PortlandOregon, a kosher, community-centric brewery, which brews up a winter IPA for the Festival of Lights: Maccabeer IPA.

It’s a 6.3% alcohol by volume west coast IPA brewed special for the season.

Portland’s #LeikamBrewing is a small, certified #kosher brewery (one of the few around), and up until now has mostly only been available in the Portland market. That’s set to change, with the brewery announcing its entry into Washington with its Rosh Hashanah beer, Major Pom.
