Consider the economic impact of our volunteers. We pay a Living Wage at the London Food Bank. If we paid that for the 54,000 hours our volunteers worked, it would be over one million dollars. The volunteers are doing the heavy lifting and the difference they are making is enormous.
The great Peter Garland joins us on "The London Food Bank @40" on Thursday at 5:30 PM on Rogers TV London. He was there in the first days of the food bank four decades ago and still volunteers with us three times a week. A revealing interview.
