Week 1 song:

totally appropriate for the start of this completely for the sake of irony. J Church was a punk band from san francisco that existed from 1992 until their guitarist and vocalist lance hahn died in 2007. its probably the only time i actually got teary eyed about someone i didnt know dying as this band was one of my favorites as a teenager. i believe this was one of the first bigger punk shows i went to (it was an avail, j church, and blink---which eventually became blink182 and one of the worst sets ive ever seen a band play---in 1994? 1995?

anyways, i saw j church again in 1997 with my then boyfriend and got to sing along like a weirdo. i squealed when they played this song!
