totally appropriate for the start of this completely for the sake of irony. J Church was a punk band from san francisco that existed from 1992 until their guitarist and vocalist lance hahn died in 2007. its probably the only time i actually got teary eyed about someone i didnt know dying as this band was one of my favorites as a teenager. i believe this was one of the first bigger punk shows i went to (it was an avail, j church, and blink---which eventually became blink182 and one of the worst sets ive ever seen a band play---in 1994? 1995?

anyways, i saw j church again in 1997 with my then boyfriend and got to sing along like a weirdo. i squealed when they played this song!

Thanks to an #MSAzure outtage, I decided to take a walk at the perfect time to see some interesting #SFMuni action; a PCC streetcar (car 1056, painted for #KansasCity) was turning around on the 11th St Wye.
This recreated a scene I used to see back in the 70's-to-early-80's when the #JChurch ended at 30th St.

Was waiting for an #SFMuni #JChurch at San Jose & Randall (entrance to the Bernal cut); https://www.sfmta.com/routes/j-church showed a long wait for a train and we were about to just walk but along came a going-out-service F line PCC on the way to the barn, and the motorman gave us a ride. Got to ride this PCC all the way to the Geneva barn.

Does anyone know why the southbound #Muni #JChurch boarding island at 18th Street is positioned so far from the crosswalk? I always feel exposed and unsafe walking to and from it.
