The #LabourGovernment recently awarded a £4.5 million uplift to Watford Council. Reversing cuts to local government funding and ending years of austerity under the Tories and Coalition. So, it’s good to see that the council is freezing its part of the council tax bill this year.

Money off energy bills, increased minimum wage, pensions up, two child limit scrapped, up to 30 hours paid for child care, free breakfast clubs for mums and dads, day one paternity rights and stronger statutory sick pay.

But, yeah… We’re all the same. #Not! #LabourGovernment

In #Watford, the @UKLabour Councillors have consistently campaigned on preventing and clearing fly-tipping. Here I am with the massive crane in the background undertaking the initial clearance work.

There’s good news on the cost-of-living and the economy. Inflation is falling, the BoE has cut interest rates six times since the election (a 17 year record), cutting the national debt and the best growth of European G7 countries in 2025. The #LabourGovernment’s plan is working!
