@sil it reminds me SO MUCH about the "National Lottery" episode of #lugradio...
@andysc The first time I heard of #mqtt was when you gave a talk somewhere (#LUGRadio Live, #Oggcamp or #EMF, I guess) about mousetraps in your house. It was interesting, but I couldn't see the need... Roll on however many years it is and now I couldn't manage without it. Thank you!
One of the key players in the #LugRadio Live events, the forerunner to #Oggcamp Ron Wellsted, AKA "Big Ron," is in the hospital getting his heart defib sorted out.
He might appreciate some support if you're on Facebook.

Today's the 20th anniversary of the first episode of #Lugradio.

I remember I started listening to this podcast after @simon mentioned it on his blog around episode 2 or 3.

I remember the animal noises to censor swear words.

I remember I had to listen to each episode at least 4 ou 5 times to get about 50% of it.

I remember my tears of laughter during the National Lottery Rant.

Now I speak English with a British accent, you bastards :o)

That was the best of the Internet at that time.

We need to start a #hackspace sticker swap, my old G4 is in dire need of some newer tech stickers. Still repping #lugradio
Installed #Debian Bookworm on my T13 with nothing further, just the plainest install. The children came home end I closed the laptop lid to fix dinner.
Later, I opened it and of course, it woke up ready for business.
I can not help thinking of old #Lugradio episodes when @sil, O'Bacon and the others discussed how a Linux laptop would *sometimes* suspend and after that *sometimes* (more rarely) resume.
Progress was made.
Just found myself explaining http://media.jehaisleprintemps.net/talks/baguetteonsnails/ to some colleagues. Conjured up pleasant memories @brunobord πŸ˜€
