@ology this was done using the py5 creative coding framework https://py5coding.org, and this particular code on the mug is written in a simplified manner called "py5 imported mode", you can read about it at:https://abav.lugaralgum.com/como-instalar-py5/index-EN.html

The L-System code was written with the strategy explained here:
