Space Development Agency (SDA) cops to issues with scaling its Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). The agency is grappling with a 2-3 month schedule slip. Core issues include:

Satellite Contact Failures: SDA and its vendors have struggled with the on-orbit checkout process – aka an inability to establish contact with one of its satellites launched in late 2025.

Component Scarcity: Sustained shortages of optical communications terminals (OCTs) and encryption devices continue to serve as the “critical path” for all vendors.

Launch Schedule Pressure: The next scheduled mission, T1TL-A, is ~ 4 months behind schedule due to the 45-day government shutdown, a launch rocket tech glitz, and issues with onboard software for satellites. https://satnews.com/2026/03/08/space-development-agency-faces-growing-pains-as-pwsa-scaling-hits-chokepoints/

Tonight on LaserVision we’ve got both #lasers firing

In the top left you’ll find laser 01, finishing its second pass to get to the depth we need (or close, hopefully - see below (that’s a pun huh)).

In the bottom right you’ll see laser 02, running a pass of a test pattern I did this morning in krita to simply produce eight squares at four different gray levels - 100% black, 75%, 50%, and 25%. Then I’m varying the different parameters of the embossing job and engraving the parameter settings below the squares. the top row of squares is aligned with the top edge of the stock, so I can measure the depth change easily with calipers.

2) Ok...it just got stranger, and it has to do with defense. It could be a coincidence. I did not see '60 Minutes' last Sunday, but I did go to the website just now and got a shock.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/irans-drones-a-drain-on-us-weapons-stockpile-could-lasers-help-fend-them-off-60-minutes-transcript/

Read, or watch, all of it. Here's a hint: I involves Blue Halo, which has been acquired by AeroVironment — AV...the same organization that McCasland is supposedly involved with and has to do with lasers. Why he would go missing or be taken is the puzzle. I won't go into it all, but it seems even the news media may not be doing their jobs.

Now, also realize that another person affiliated with McCasland, Monica Jacinto Reza, also just disappeared a few months ago under strange circumstances.

This seems like some crazy, mystery/sci-fi story, but it's in the news. On top of that, it definitely is part of the whole drone mystery over El Paso, Texas a few months ago. What the heck is going on?

Iran's cheap drones are a drain on the U.S. weapons stockpile. Could lasers help fend them off?

The Iran war is testing the U.S. military's ability to combat Iran's drones in a cost-effective way. Emerging laser tech, designed to zap drones out of the sky, may help.

Missing General McCasland
1)
There's a lot more to it than anyone is saying. I find it strange that no one is asking about General McCasland's ties to a company called 'Blue Halo', in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_McCasland

"McCasland is currently director of technology at Applied Technology Associates, an Albuquerque, New Mexico based subsidiary of Arlington, Virginia based BlueHalo, a defense conglomerate operating in the areas of space warfare, directed energy, missile defense, cyber and C4ISR.[10][11][12][13] "

My guess is that Blue Halo may be a commercial offshoot of 'Kona Blue': Blue Halo was taken over by Applied Technology Associates (AeroVironment-AV).

https://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/dod-releases-kona-blue-documents/

https://bluehalo.com/

McCasland possesses a lot of knowledge and information that I'm sure that many want to get their hands on about certain advanced aerospace technologies that are important for defense. AARO/AAWSAP/AATIP, etc was over Kona Blue, so we may be talking back-engineered alien technologies. Quite a few actual humans want to get their hands on this information, including foreign actors, and they know how to make people disappear.

#MissKittyRaw I am not playing with it. I am not going to suck up to @[email protected] just because it was a great opportunity for @[email protected]. #DemocracyDocket is a more important read than #TheTimes. Way more bang for your buck. How much time do you have? We are going to find more #lasers.
About ducking time the #FAA & the Department Of Defense ( #DOD , AKA #DOW ), started coordinating on the #anti-aircraft #lasers they've been shooting down their own Customs & Border Protection ( #CBP ) drones with in #Texas + #NewMexico! They could have downed commercial aircraft & still might if they're not coordinating with #Mexico airspace!

Pentagon and FAA to test anti-drone lasers in New Mexico

The Pentagon and the Federal Aviation Administration have agreed to conduct anti-drone laser tests in New Mexico after the military’s deployment of the lasers led the FAA to suddenly close airspace in Texas twice in the last month. The military said Friday that the testing was being carried out to address FAA safety concerns. It was to take place Saturday and Sunday at the White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. The military is required to formally notify the FAA when it takes any counter-drone action inside U.S. airspace.

Been doing some improvements to my laser-crosshair mod on my monport #laser today.

A while back, when I did the debugging on the issues with the laser head, I took it off in order to debug the problem I was having.

I wanted to re-do it anyway, because the wires I put in to power the laser crosshairs were a bit too stiff, sometimes causing a bit too much resistance on the drag chain.

Live and learn! :)

Been looking for ideas on other mods and/or art hacks, but ughhhh....

If quasi-scammy youtube videos are anything to go by, it seems the key to "how to succeed with your laser business" is to start a youtube/patreon/whatever coaching business that teaches people how to succeed in their laser business.

Has the #lasercutting industry gone full-on pyramid-sceme now?

Where's all the #makers #hacking their #lasers at?

I did see some movement in the rayforge repo/issues wrt ruida support with a few people contributing, so it's not all bad.

My ruidactl implementation currently can move the laser, and fire the spot beam etc... but I still have a ways to go before I can have it do proper jobs let alone translate gcode to it. At this rate, #rayforge might beat me to it. :)

An interesting short #documentary about some #independent #researchers experimenting with #DMT and #lasers to see if we can perceive "source code" and prove that we live in a #simulation.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlLTLIGDZp8

Sure their methods are a bit muddled, the subjects primed to have a certain experience, but I'd like to see where this goes.
