Beverly Hills on Dec. 2 received a second letter from California’s Department of Housing and Development that it violated state housing laws by blocking 10 development projects that contain affordable housing.

The developments would add a total of 198 affordable housing units within the city, greatly expanding the city’s housing stock of 8 units.
