#OTD 250 years ago, 4 May 1773, Art O'Laoghaire was killed. This prompted his wife, Eibhlín Dubh Ní Chonaill, to compose the famous lament, Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire. He was buried in #Kilcrea Abbey, one of the friaries described by Robert Cochrane his Monuments of County Cork. See tinyurl.com/pt3zxnvh
