🚧 Traffic Update – Park Road, Killarney

⛔ A Stop & Go traffic management system will be in place on Park Road this Tuesday & Wednesday (from 7:00 a.m.) to facilitate works on the Park Road Active Travel Scheme.

Some delays are expected — motorists are advised to use Countess Road as an alternative route.

Today I learned:

That #kestrels are on the red list of most concern for conservation of birds in #Ireland due to persistent annual decline, apparently due to a combination of farming practices, #raptor #persecution, and #rural #urbanisation, which takes away not only their foraging areas, but their prey, and habitat suitability.

Now, what do we have here perched on an ESB electricity wire scouting for prey behind our garden, and on land for which a proposed dwelling has been applied for by 3rd parties? This is literally a few metres from a "special area of conservation".
