Piloted by Brian Binnie, SS1 flew from and returned to Mojave Airport #KMHV, later renamed Mojave Air & Space Port. SS1 was carried at takeoff by the White Knight carrier plane, drop-launched from 47,900ft, climbed by rocket to 67,800ft.
