JACKSON, WYOMING — A skier was killed and another injured in an avalanche on Togwotee Pass on Saturday, January 4, 2025. The incident occurred in the Breccia Cliffs area when a party of four skiers triggered a slide while ascending a skin track. Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) faced adverse conditions during the challenging backcountry rescue and recovery operation.The emergency alert reached dispatch just before noon via an iPhone satellite text-to-911.
