bpost sends 10,000 mailmen on rounds every day, of which 3,000 ride bicycles. Of these, 1,260 postmen still cycle completely under their own power. That is why bpost still has around 1,500 classic bicycles in use. The company will now gradually remove those bicycles from circulation and replace them with electric models. A first new order for 440 e-bikes was placed this year.

Chris Bumann, a 38-year-old Swiss wilderness educator, is embarking on an ambitious cycling project called "Randwärts" - a year-long journey around Europe with his 10-year-old Labrador, Benny. Starting from Nehren, Germany, he plans to cycle through Switzerland, France, Italy, the Balkans, and potentially up to the Arctic Circle.
A former survival course instructor who lived in the Frankenwald forest, Bumann has sold his possessions to fund this adventure. His goals include portraying interesting people and projects, supporting refugee initiatives, and bringing children's laughter as a clown. He believes in European diversity and pluralism, hoping to highlight positive stories across the continent.
