John was drafted by the Niners in 1957 & served as a backup to #YATitle until he became the starting QB for the Niners in 1961 and remained the team's starting QB until 1973.

I've been a devoted Niners fan since 1958, when #JohnBrodie & #YATittle were the QBs, which is the same year that the Giants came to #SF & when I also became a devoted #SFGiants fan.
I've watched every game that the Niners played this season, including the embarrassing 13-3 loss to the #Seahawks in Wk 18.
So, I just "knew" that the Niners were going to lose yesterday when they fell behind 0-17 BEFORE the end of the 1st Q. It looked like the Seahawks had figured out how to destroy the Niners porous & patchwork D on offense & their defense didn't need any help because they stifled the Niners O yesterday the same way they did in Wk 18.
That said, the Niners have played far beyond all expectations this season, going 13-6 including the playoffs, despites being riddled with injuries all thru the lineup but especially to key players like Bosa, Warner & Kittle.
So, thanks to the Niners to an otherwise GREAT season!!!
