I haven't followed up for this but I can keep using Joey by patching it with ReVanced. I have to supply my own API token but that's fine.

It's been months and it works really well. I haven't got any setbacks such as rate limits. I guess one key per user is enough for someone like me.

#JoeyforReddit was my favorite, most used app. I loved reading Reddit in this app at the end of the day. Since #Reddit killed API access, JoeyforReddit is one of those apps that have died. I'm getting agitated and grumpy. My routine has been interrupted. Withdrawal symptoms!

There are alternative accessibility apps that are allowed to run, but they don't hold a candle to Joey. After testing them, I have found that #Relay for Reddit works best for me. The Fediverse looks like it will rule, tho'.

It had to happen. Reddit shut down #JoeyforReddit after telling its dev they would negotiate #APIchanges but then shutting off his access to API with no warning, leaving him and his users in the lurch. Then I installed #boostforeddit but that didn't work anymore despite still being in the store, so now I'm using #AtomForReddit. Hopefully it works for a while, but at least now I have a backup platform.
