Am watching episode 9 of “Under the Skin 2” with Tan Jianci and Jin Shijia. The drama follows a detective and a forensic artist who are very different but who work well together. There is a touch of bromance but focus is on the cases and psychological dilemmas in modern China.
Have now finished watching "Under the Skin" 🌸 I don't usually watch crime dramas but tried this one, based on a recommendation and I'm glad I did. The friendship between the main characters develops from mistrust to trust and the villain is caught at the end. There is a season 2 this year, which I'm looking forward to. The last scene with the portrait implies that there is more to the artist beneath the surface.

Am now watching episode 18 of "Under the Skin" 🌸 The depth of trust between the two leads has now become apparent and the balance of power between has shifted. It is definitely an unexpected development and it will be interesting to see how they resolve the main murder mystery. Both the acting and the plot structure is topnotch.

Am now watching episode 14 of "Under the Skin" 🌸 It has a really insightful point about AI versus human skill. The case with computer AI generated scam of seniors is prescient since the drama was released before chatbots became widespread. Even if it is fiction, it is nice that the human artist and mind can recreate the criminal's face when the computer programme could not.

Am watching episode 12 of "Under the Skin" with Tan Jianci and Jin Shijia 🌸 The murder mysteries are becoming more entangled in the overall arc of the murdered police colleague which ties the main leads together. The themes of human trafficking and domestic abuse are sadly very real in these episodes.

Am watching episode 9 of "Under the Skin" 🌸 The individual crime stories are well put together and the inner demons that both the forensic artist and the detective have are compelling and woven into the overall arc of the drama. Am definitely liking this drama even though crime dramas aren't what I watch most.
Am just watching episode 5 of "Under the Skin" 🌸 I usually don't really watch crime shows but this one is working for me. Besides the central relationship between the policeman and the forensic artist, the crime stories have underlying themes and the reveals are surprising. The one in episode 5 is definitely unexpected.
