As the name suggests, it's remote #ffmpeg, via SSH. So the Jellyfin VM will tunnel trough the br0 network to its host, and that's where FFmpeg can use QSV hardware acceleration on the iGPU (i5-7500 / HD Graphics 630).

Ronald@ironicbadger I'm on Jellyfin for a year or two now. The only thing I miss from Plex is a means to value a movie or (an episode of) a series. Something like a 5 star system. For some reason they won't add it to Jellyfin. #jellyfinjune
Ok hereβs the plan. #jellyfinjune is a series of videos / livestreams Iβll be releasing on YouTube.
The 30 day challenge will begin by ceremonially removing plex from my life (perhaps youβll join me?) followed by detailed explorations of recreating the Plex experience (and beyond) using FOSS.
Each video (1-2 per week for the month of June) will go through different aspects of #jellyfin for example:
- video 1 - JF setup
- video 2 - in-depth look at plugins
- video 3 - iOS/tvos clients
- video 4 - music and clients
And so forth. So please, submit me all your tips and tricks using the #jellyfinjune tag. Iβm sure some of you have reallllly neat stuff up your sleevesβ¦
