Ivanka Trump’s chief of staff said Ivanka Trump didn’t want to speak at the Ellipse rally because she didn’t want to associate with “Stop the Steal” messaging.

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao told investigators she announced her resignation the day after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot because the events that day were so shocking that “it was impossible for me to continue.”
