This song was #1 on the Billboard chart on this day, November 22, in 1986.

I was sixteen.

I don't have words to describe what this musical arrangement meant to me at sixteen, and continues to mean.

In particular, there is a "bell-like" motif in the instrumentation at :58, 1:03 and 1:08 (repeated again later) that hits my heart in an indescribable way. Every. single. time!
