Thought on a long hospital stay. Iโve interacted with or observed well over a hundred nurses, doctors, consultants, technicians, porters, cleaners, security, caterers, and admin. More than 90 percent of these people were clearly immigrants.

I saw an election poster earlier with #IrelandIsFull as its tag line. While it saddened me that someone would put their name and face to this, it occurred that a tiny addition would make it much nicer. #OfLovelyPeople.

The claim is absurd given the population is still only 60% of its historic peak (around 1840). No country bar perhaps Moldova and the Marshall Islands has lost more people.
Perhaps Ireland has a lack of housing or welfare capacity. It is not "full".

To all of those arguing that #IrelandIsFull it is evidently not full enough if you are still carrying insular semi-racist views and I think the rest of us would rather share our societal spaces with more like minded people from diverse backgrounds than with home grown bigots.
Looked through the #IrelandisFull hashtag and glad to say that the only people I follow engaging with it were doing so in opposition to it.
