Today's been a "Am I getting sick or am I just peopled out?" kind of day. Sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, tired. Who knows. Fortunately I get to hermit for the rest of the day and tonight.
Solid advice. I support this.
I had a great time at the protest yesterday, but dang the introvert hangover is REAL.
Introvert me is very discombobulated when I follow back someone on social media and they immediately try to start a private chat with a random "hi how are you?" So discombobulated that I ignore it for days and at that point it's just weird, right? 😅
Ah yes, that familiar late afternoon sneeze fit, complete with fatigue and swollen lymphs that makes me wonder whether I'm about to get seriously sick or if I just people-d too much today.
There are strangers at my house installing a heat pump and I have a sick baby kitten and my stress right now is through the roof. 😫
It's funny, I have always hated making phone calls, but I have absolutely no issue talking on the phone at work with users than need help.
My personal theory is that my discomfort about phone calls is mitigated by a seat of power, and I do not mean that in a "Muahahahaha" kind of way but psychologically.
They need my help, not the other way around, and hence it subconsciously make me feel more comfortable about the situation.
