The topic is on #DigitalCitizenSovereignty, which is precisely what we're concerned about. #DigitalSovereignty is necessary at a state level. But at an individual level, we need many of the same protections.

@neauoire Personally, I'm very much inspired by it's more rigorous mapping of all kinds of devices and capabilities into file-like devices. That and it's 9P protocol have been churning in my head for a long time.
One of the things I want for my #interpeerproject is to effectively have something like 9P on a P2P network. There's necessarily going to be a bit more than that... but one of the aims is to make files more easily available between multiple devices that you use.
@jwildeboer That's why my #interpeerproject is making the compromise of building on UDP/IP - because that is already widely deployed, but the protocols should make layering over IP or replacement protocols feasible.
It's also why it fits into the NGI0 funding scheme of the EC.
We're not going to solve this immediately. Actually, I don't expect this to be solved for another decade or so.
But I've been seeing these issues creep up for a long time, and my biggest regret is that I didn't try harder to do something about it before.
Earlier this year, I started the #interpeerproject - basically to build this.
