Reminds me of teenage me, obsessively watching this video over & over with the friend from across the road (till her mum taped over that episode of Ready to Roll). I loved the song so much. The video had a Midsummer Night's Dream theme, but that was pretty tenuous - it mostly looked like a fun dance party for the band's mates.

Track 1 from their album "Seen in Green", the only? trippy album cover in my folks' record collection. Sweet tune, brings back fond memories of how reliable my dad was at telling us Athol Guy knew Dad's family, whenever a Seekers song came on (the bassist, with the distinctive specs - came from the same small town as Dad)

Connie Mitchell again, different band. Fabulous voice, maybe my most favourite? Qualifies for JFN because my first trip away from Wellington with @lotographia was for the 2015 South Island Wine & Food Festival in Chch due to Sneaky Sound System headlining it 😊

This is probably my favourite Bowie track. That bass 😍 - so good for dancing. Always kinda disappointed when the DJ at Atomic plays Let's Dance or Modern Love instead of this.

Connie Mitchell moved on to Sneaky Sound System but Primary were more my jam. Saw them once, supporting Tadpole on a summer tour (my sis drove me to Whangamata for a Coroglen Tavern show). Got a photo with them after & remember one of them saying "hey, you knew all the words!" as I approached. One of my all-time top gigs 💜

The video is a treat too, it's a short film really - fun spotting several people who perhaps weren't quite as famous then as they became later. Just found out the one I used to think might be Midge Ure was actually someone else.

I'd got front row tickets for me & a friend to their Silent Alarm show at the Michael Fowler Centre in 2018; only the front row was allowed to congregate in front of the stage, and we did indeed move forward to do exactly that. Such a perfect show. Brilliant to be on our feet for it and more physically engaged with the performance.
