Reminder: Section 230 isn't the thing preventing Musk/Big Tech from being held accountable. The Lawyers and U.S. Politicians who say it is just want to be able to freely silence their critics and remove critical resources. Section 230 is what allows user-generated content to exist at all.
The main reason why Musk and Big Tech aren't being held accountable is because corporations are treated as people (Citizens United) and politicians not wanting to anger their donors (and Trump).
The UK Government refusing to take action against Twitter despite clearly violating the OSA reveals this "internet/child safety" legislative push is not about protecting kids and holding Big Tech accountable.
