A take: the media is being dishonest about UFOs. Let's stretch this into a tortured analogy:

The media is "Bob".
Confirmation of a UFO in US airspace is "confirmation Alice has a crush."

Bob asks "Do you have a crush on Xander?"
Alice replies "I'm not telling anyone right now."
Bob RUNS to the student newspaper and types 5 paragraphs headlined 'Alice Refuses to Deny Rumors of Crush on Xander'.

Everyone saying that the US is "admitting" it "might be" aliens are falling for one of the oldest, moldiest tricks in the playground playbook.

It's probably not aliens. It's probably spy stuff. It might even be in retaliation for spy stuff we did first that isn't being reported on! If Alice wants you to know who she has a crush on, she'll say. If Bob gets proof of who Alice has a crush on, he will say. In the meantime, good gravy please please please shut up.
