Now, the Vision Zero Task Force is finally holding another meeting... but once again not allowing the public to comment at it. There has been no transparency from this Task Force, and it sure looks like they have no interest in being held accountable by the public, either.

Per a document provided to us through an open records request, the VZTF's goal was for the Vision Zero Administrator position to be HIRED BY 1/1. The VZ Administrator position was not even LISTED until after 1/1, and the position is "open" through the end of Feb. Hired? When?

Then, Councilor Barth himself undermined both Vision Zero and the city's Complete Streets policy by killing the Pennsylvania Street protected bike lane project so that his affluent constituents in Meridian-Kessler did not lose their precious parkings spots.

Next, the Vision Zero Task Force cancelled their December meeting. The meeting agenda did not have time on it to allow for public comment. Per the passed proposal, the VZTF was to hold at least two public meetings per year (this did not occur in 2024).
