Weekend #FabricHaul -

My stash of bright greens was depleted, so I picked some up for a quilt planned later in the year

Got a tone-on-tone yellow modern floral for the back of #InarticulateSunflower (and a blue for the binding because it used up a lot of blues)

Found this honey seashell for the back of #InarticulateAnning. Really wanted a dinosaur print, but not many of those are yellow and Mary is the inspiration for "She sells sea shells by the sea shore;" I think it'll work

My Mary Anning quilt top is finished!

I wasn’t planning on 3 borders —or having the green one be so wide — when I started, but I think it worked out well in the end

#InarticulateAnning progress today includes finishing the letters; also a close up of the ammonite blocks from yesterday

Mary’s back on the design wall! There was a bobble with her background fabric but I’m happy to working on this one again

This was originally going to be 16 on-point blocks, but I resolved to make smaller quilts this year, so I’m going with 9 instead

Next up - setting squares with ammonite centers 🤞🏻

By making the tie wider, I solved the too many seams in one spot problem, but I had to make the headscarf a touch larger then too

Think I’ve got the proportions balanced and the sewing solved, so I’m going to call this block finished

15 more to go!
