A 1st rate, cliche, weepy melodrama, with the usual flat yet extraordinary characters facing an insurmountable problem. Most characters are fabulously annoying & do things that no one would ever do, but it's melo perfect.

Ill-fated 1st loves meet after many years. ML has become a rich actor whose mom can't forgive him for not becoming a prosecutor. FL is a poor video journalist forced by circumstances to compromise her values to survive. We suffer as they try to find their way through the horribleness that life has thrown at them.

The phenomenal acting *makes* this drama - especially Kim Woo Bin, whose character could have been overdone. There are a few unforeseen revenge twists, & a couple of sweet side relationships that keep it interesting. Both leads were nominated for Best Actor & Couple awards.

Oh My Ghost / Oh My Ghostess

This was recommended for my Park Bo Young Quest, and I couldn't be happier. I stayed up late to binge this one! PBY's acting in this is fantastic, winning 2 awards for it.

It's a rom-com, mystery, thriller combo that brings it all. There is quite a bit of setup, but it all comes together. The last episode does feel somewhat rushed and leaves a few questions hanging out there, but the important storylines get resolved.

Bo Young has heart-fluttering chemistry with the ML, Jo Jung Suk (they won the best kiss award). She also has heart-wrenching chemistry with the 2nd FL, Kim Seul Gi.

The supporting actors are so well cast and are so believable. Kang Ki Young plays dorky goofball so well!

It will be on my rewatch list!
