i guarantee you it's better with an 'animated idol' than it would've been with the actual idol who sang the song (yukika).
idols sell fantasy and there's no limit to the fantasy possible with animation (or with other "generated idols", like those CGI models). with a real person though, there's always a limit.
an animated idol can also stay young and cute forever, and 'young and cute' is a big part of idol culture, no?
