Johann-Tobias SchägLooks i am unsure about attend the workshops at #ISC2024 suddenly. I didn't remember that prices are without VAT and got a new sticker shock. Grrr. 😰If there was *any* student pricing on the workshops that'd be something else but like this ~300€ turned into ~400€. #ISC24 #ISChpc

No tickets to #isc24, no hotel for tonight (after 8pm) yet.
Even if i don't end up getting a pass for tomorrow to see the #isc2024 show floor I'd probably be around the #ischpc and might attend some evening events if someone wants to have me. Reminds me of my #ISC2022 experience where i also drove to Hamburg without a ticket lined up yet. 😅

For reference I attend the last #ISChpc #ISC23 with a sponsorship for the main event and visited the workshops on my own dime, i attended the #ISC22 workshops on my own dime with 9€ train ticket and #ISC21 remotely thanks to a surplus ticket https://x.com/Anno0770/status/1531455969821073409 So i am used to making last minute stuff work.

@mnoukhiya https://t.co/9hemymxdlN do you remember me (the most active participant)? Last year i could attend thanks to someone at @KAUST_ECRC which provided me with an online ticket. This year #ISC22 is in my home country but i can't afford ticket as a student, neither online or in person.
