A volunteer work day today, likely removing Privet again. The main difference is that Tuesday the temps were warm (19.4 to 28.3 C) where today we are starting at close to 0 C and may reach 18 C. I do not like roller coasters!

Back to Finches. This is a difficult ID for me, an unexpected sighting and a bit of uncertainty on my part. Everything point to this being a Cassin's Finch, so will stay with that ID. Common in the western mountains, and typically found in pine forests.
