But I got caught in the middle, as I could see ‘something strange’ was happening with the ‘2013 scapegoats’, and ignored allegations against BRS.
I became the enemy.

Hurley is every bit as culpable in my mind. A political animal, he thought nothing of giving the minister whatever the Ministers staff wanted, either a hero, or a villain. Facts didn’t matter. He was rewarded for it afterwards.
I believed he did more damage to truth in the ADF than BRS.

In next months more snippets of truth will emerge, and slowly the noose will close around those who drove the war in a PR direction rather than war fighting.

After years of saying ‘we were winning’, the Taliban returned.
Someone lied.

Lies about Afghan got people re-elected, sure.
But the long term cost to the Defence of this country is yet to be determined, and it could be fatal.
Pretty lies may win elections but they don’t win wars.

They destroy armies.

We need truth."
