One of the oldest occupations in history, midwives fulfill a vital role all over the world. The majority of babies born worldwide are home-delivered with midwives by a large margin. Performed by qualified midwives, home deliveries are safe, affordable, and eliminate obstetric violence and forced C-sections. They act as medical practioners, lactation consultants, and provide pre and post-natal care most of the time.
