All seen whilst wandering the #Hackney Brook - one of London's #HiddenRivers

Living in a large city after spending most of my life in the more rural areas of the country has caused me to hold a new appreciation for the things of the wild I left behind. Rather than cry about it, though, I built a page where I can display all those images I've collected over the years for others stuck in the big-city-life too! Or, just if you want to see some gorgeous Oregon scenery to lift your spirits while in your busy place; enjoy a small oasis of calm for a few minutes before hitting the treadmill of life again.

Jaela Bernstien and Emily Chung uncover #HiddenRivers across Canada.‍
There are also some new plaques set into the paths at West Norwood Cemetery showing where the lost River Effra is running underfoot. #London #HiddenRivers
One of my favourite things to do in London was to follow #HiddenRivers like the Fleet, the Hackney Brook, and the Moselle. When we moved to Bangor, the guy we bought our house from told us about the river Adda, which flows underground through the middle of the town. I've walked almost all of it, I think, and there aren't many spots where you can see or hear it. Today I noticed this waterfall on Caernarfon Road that must flow into it.
