Now on to the body stripes, the stripes on the tail, and the chest spots.
Done! Hurrah! In time for Christmas Eve!
The heads are not yet attached. Neither are the tails. But they have been stuffed... and they are chonky bois - especially with the cherry pit pillow inserted.
By Belisama! The appliquéing is taking forever... also because the fusible web hates me. There are more fiddly bits (the eyebrows and face stripes) to come!
Have finished tracing all the small appliqué bits onto fusible web and have started ironing it onto the correct fabric. Am not going to attempt cutting out anything because I become more error prone after 9PM.
Plan is to do all the cutting tomorrow. Maybe I'll do all the appliquéing tomorrow and do some assembly. I might actually be done with both Derpys by Friday if I don't dawdle.
Will be making 2 of these. They have a pocket in the belly that can be filled with a heat pad (I've got two that are made with cherry pits). They will be Solstice presents for the 11yo and 13yo.
They wanted light blue ones... so that's what they'll get.
