I will never forget Elina Löwensohn acting #Autism in women #AutismWomen #WomenAutism year 1992. It was incredibly inspiring to me when I met her in #NYC #Queens #FWakeYear1992 #FWakeY1992 Museum of the Moving Image

#MuseumOfTheMovingImage - changed my life forever. I didn't realize my own #autism until year 2009.

The world premiere engagement of Hal Hartley's new film "Where to Land" will take place in New York City on September 12 through the 16th at the Roxy Cinema in Tribeca.

I am glad I was one of the many backers on Kickstarter for this project - I am a fan since "Trust" in 1990...

Where to Land

A day in the life of a 58-year-old director of romantic comedies whom everyone mistakenly suspects is dying.

Roxy Cinema

Watched Hal Hartley's 1989 movie "Trust" last night with my spouse.

Two broken people becoming more whole. Who aren't really in love with each other, but teach other what love is.

Now impossible to "just go get a job in the factory" because those all went to other countries that don't protect employees.

No "Television repair" shop because it's cheaper to buy a new one than to try and repair it.

"The hilarious and sad story of an ex-nun who claims to have had a visit from the Virgin Mary instructing her to intervene in the destiny of a troubled porn star. Further, the handsome amnesiac she has met in the street is somehow involved."

What can I say? I'm a fan of Hal Hartley, so I just backed the Kickstarter for his next film. He's got about a day to go and he's quite close (I bet he makes it!)

Hal Hartley is a great indie director. I love Henry Fool and Fay Grim. I need to see more of his films. He's crowdfunding his next film, Where to Land, right now, and I supported it like I did the first time in 2019 when he successfully funded and then had to refund all the money because of the pandemic.

If you want to help support independent film, please watch his latest Update video and donate in the next seven days.📽️

Just watched this #HalHartley gem yet again.. "The Book of Life" (1998)

Great movie. Great cast. Great soundtrack. ❤️
With PJ Harvey as Mary Magdalene, Martin Donovan as Jesus, and Thomas Jay Ryan as The Devil, what more can you want!

There's even a scene where P.J. Harvey sings "To Sir with Love" at a listening station in the lower Manhattan Tower Records~ even more nostalgia for those who spent many hours enjoying them..

And a happy belated 54th birthday to #PJHarvey ❤️

For years I've been wondering whatever happened to Hal Hartley, and here comes Tone Glow with a long interview that...doesn't really leave me much the wiser but it seems that I've missed a lot since Amateur.
