Canada Lands has committed to having 20 per cent of the units for Shannon Park be affordable, though what's considered 'affordable' has yet to be defined.

@bronwenjones Absolutely. And tone deaf #TimHoustonNS and other #HRMPoli Councilors are still bragging about Emerg Alerts when they don't reach the end of rural Halifax. I survived Fiona without even radio signals or wellness checks, in a community without essential services. I haven't seen #SheetHarbour emergency department open in 40 years. For Emergencies, I have to pass two Halifax Region hospitals to go to the overcrowded city. Many folks have no INTERNET yet, I am fortunate to have Fiber

You don't have to be from #HRM to hear people complain they can't get bus tickets at stations. For 35 years, I drove, because I was part of a small organization, maybe you heard of it, THE MILITARY. DND was dropped off by bus on Barrington 2kms our work. I always had to drive. Even in Retirement, I can't use busses. Mask-free buses are show-stoppers.

@jodieturner Did you see where I got my water bill over summer? (I turn my water off, we shut down) , I use minimum water during visits, $14 in 3 month billing cycle, and Halifax Water charged me $140 for that use. Sewer tax, ditch tax, executive privilege tax, club cab gas bill the drivers that take them home at night, and every other indiscretion with money, we pay for, and have no say. It needs an overseer in hard times, to keep reasonable restraint on Public Utility costs #HRMPoli #NSPoli

@Erin That's good. They were just beginning to use cellphones before I retired, when I went on the road, I used mine, but eventually, they provided one. Now it's standard issue for any politician, I think, including their most expensive Bell contracts. it's as if, money was no object? Because, it's ours. I think we could save City Hall money by switching them all to PublicMobile #HRMPoli since they are never outside city tower range anyway. $25, all they need is for Public to reach them

Is it just my age, or is everyone emotionally distraught seeing the state of #Homelessness? This makes me cry, and I don't do that for no good reason. it's very sad.
