I also spotted one entity w/ actual broadcasts disappearing from the #B25 lists. MGLOB - Malagasy Glabal (sic) Business S.A - acc. to #HFCC A25 they should carry smth in Tigrinya daily @ 1830-1900z on 11680 kHz. Whether it is really on - idk. But if it is - it won't be from Oct 26. #shortwave
As always with #HFCC, there is a number of broadcast organisations, usually state-owned, that have long stopped using #shortwave radio, yet keep registering frequencies every season. Indonesia, UAE, Kuwait, most of Egypt - heck, even naZi ruZZia - are among them. Is #USAGM gonna become one too?
More #HFCC #B25 oddities: Look at the list of freqs @news.dw.com has registered from Oct 26... new.hfcc.org/data/schedby... Well, they claim the same setup *now* too ➡️ new.hfcc.org/data/schedby... In reality, only the Amharic broadcast exists, along w/ Wed/Sun (not daily!) Arabic one. #shortwave

More #HFCC #B25 registration oddities: Despite its planned shutdown for October 25th, KTWR (or, more applicably, TWR Asia) still has plenty of broadcasts registered via its own Guam site past Oct 26th! new.hfcc.org/data/schedby... Or is it Oct 31 really? @atakegram.bsky.social?? #shortwave

Radio Prague Interview: Jeff White on Why Shortwave Still Matters

Speaking from Prague at the latest HFCC (High Frequency Coordination Conference), Jeff White—chairman of the HFCC and founder of Radio Miami International—shares why shortwave broadcasting still ma…

The SWLing Post

Next up is Talata-Volonondry🇲🇬, shortened as "MDC" in #HFCC registrations.

Here, the occupacy drops from 42 transmissions in #A24 to 38 in #B24. AWR currently has 15 broadcasts over this site, so why such a small difference?

Station "JRC" has registered a number of frequencies w/ weird notes, not just "Alternate" but "Start 1", "Start 0", "End 175" etc.

These are for Radio Tamazuj & Radio Dabanga.

If we remove "JRC", the numbers go down from 35 to 26, still +4 over AWR losses.

Oh well... actually... why wait if you already can look at a list of broadcasters registered?

The broadcasters section in #HFCC #B24 page no longer lists AWR = Adventist World Radio.

SDA = Adventist Broadcasting Service, Inc. is still there. That's a separate organisation in charge of AWR broadcasts via its KSDA 🇬🇺 station.

So YES, one of the largest #shortwave radio stations in the world is, for a big part, LEAVING THE MEDIUM❗

B24 Data

Listened to today's Obiettivo DX on AWR Italian on 9610 kHz, the station's last remaining broadcast to Europe.

In fact, it's likely their second-to-last broadcast on #shortwave, and yet... they still don't know its future!

No official announcements, no word on whether by any chance this broadcast could be moved to KSDA, or if it could survive in any form... nothing!

Tomorrow, the #HFCC will release #B24 schedules eff. Oct 27 for all broadcasters participating; we hope to find answers there!

PIZZA PASTA PREGO PREGO ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR 😂😂😂 #shortwave #HFCC
Similar obfuscation is also used for certain broadcasts by other large #shortwave broadcast providers. Smaller producers or clandestine organizations don't need to register to #HFCC - and companies like Media Broadcast (above) and Encompass (attached here) take care of all the bureaucracy needed to plan a broadcast for them :) #A24
