A Texas House bill deemed "Audrii's Law," which aims to close a legal loophole allowing some people convicted of sex-related crimes to bypass the state's sex offender registry, was signed into law over the weekend.

‘Audrii’s Law:’ Bill to close sex offender loophole signed into Texas law

House Bill 2000 was named after Audrii Cunningham, a Polk County girl who last year was killed by Don Steven McDougal, a family friend who had been living in a trailer behind her Livingston home.
