UPDATE: The Colorado Springs Police Department is planning an 8am press conference at its operation center about the mass shooting. They didn't specify which time zone. A gunman sporting a rifle and body armor opened fire in a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, killing at least 10 people is now in custody.

A 106 page manifesto believed to be by the shooter says he was motivated by a conspiracy theory that white people are being replaced by other races.

The FBI is investigating the attack as as a hate crime and as violent extremism.
