For today's #GrillGameFact let's chat about Professor E. Gadd's invention the Poltergust! Every wonder why the Poltergust 3000 upgraded to the 5000 between games skipping 4000?
Because the 4000 was in Mario Kart DS! It's one of Luigi's special karts to zoom around with!
Today's #GrillGameFact is about some forgotten DVD technology that was used for games, Nuon!
Now how about we talk about an INSANELY exclusive game for the Nuon? That game being Crayon Shin-Chan 3!
Today's #GrillGameFact is about an often forgotten 7th Generation game console, the Game Wave Family Entertainment System! This console sold 70,000 units but this Canadian Console isn't remembered mostly.
The fun fact? While it originally came packaged with 4 Degrees: The Arc of Trivia, Vol. 1, it eventually was sold with a copy of the console exclusive Veggie Tales: Veg-Out! Family Tournament.
That's right, Veggie Tales was once the selling point of the console!
For today's #GrillGameFact this is actually a cool opportunity to talk about some lost games. Most lists of Pladia titles do NOT include any of the Idol Games nor Hentai Games made for the system, and a large number of them are lost. It'd be awesome if they could be hunted down!
Nearly every title for the Playdia console was published by Bandai. Many took advantage of the CD-ROM format to present full motion video, though with simplistic gameplay. The first launch titles in 1994 were targeted towards young children. At least 8 promotional discs were given away with the console or in special promotions; some were intended for retailers to demonstrate the console in stores.
Today's #GrillGameFact is about the Bandai Playdia! Never heard of it? That's because this console made for kids it didn't sell well.
Well to try to make it profitable, they started producing hentai games to bring in sales. It actually worked too which makes it more awkward!
Now for today's #GrillGameFact! Billy Hatcher and the Giant egg has a great cult following but never got a sequel... Or did it?
Only kind of! Billy's Big Egg was a McDonalds LCD game release, the only other ever official game put out with Billy as the main character!
