This follows Laura Loomer’s claiming the Super Bowl had been "ruined" by immigrants, #GregKelly of Newsmax referring to Bad Bunny as a foreigner, and podcaster #TomiLahren claiming Bad Bunny is "not an American artist". #LauraLoomer #USCitizen

For example, we could learn the difference between the #UnitedStates and "America." #America, the continental mass, was named in 1507 by a German mapmaker after the Italian explorer who correctly pointed out it wasn’t Asia. In 1781 the #ArticlesOfConfederation and Perpetual Union went into effect. Article 1 said officially, for the first time, that the name of the then-confederacy was “The United States of America”. Article 13 allowed a process for a successor document. That successor document, the United States #Constitution, went into effect in 1789 and also names “the United States of America” in its Preamble and Article VII. The Department of State regulations (5 FAH-1 H-1030) require “United States of America” in all formal documents and the adjective form “United States” before “citizens” in matters where sovereignty matters.
