#StPatricksDay is a little over a month away. I created 'Green Shamrocks and Colorful Rainbow' in soft pastels back in 2020 for use in card designs. I drew the oxalis, or shamrocks, from life as it grows wild all around my area.

One of my most popular Valentine card designs features an adorable little hamster created in soft pastels. The cute creature is holding a red heart in its little pink hands and has an imploring look on its face. I designed several different Valentine's Day cards with this artwork. I will be the first to admit that I am terrible at designing romantic greeting cards, nevertheless, sometimes I do come up with a cute idea. This Valentine features my pastel artwork depicting an adorable little owl with large eyes holding a pink heart in its beak.

I displayed some blank greeting cards at our city's Holiday Goodness show as a member of the local art guild. I had a few sales so it was not a total disappointment but I noticed that people didn't seem to be spending a lot of money on larger items. I hope the economy improves soon for the sake of everyone who depends on sales of their creative work.
