Currently addicted to a series of books by Lindsay Buroker. Not my usual fare, being rather violent and full of snarky somewhat-martial dialogue, but with engaging central characters and intriguing magic. The books have also, most importantly, been edited and proofread; and, oh joy unbounded, the author has used "bacteria" as a plural.
